MANCHESTER CITY KEEP HOPE ALIVE, BEAT EVERTON AT HOME 2-3

Manchester City kept hope of winning the Barclays Premier League alive when they won 2-3 away to Ever.This was an important  match for City as it helped in boosting their chances and moving them to top of the table with 80 points and superior goal difference ahead of Liverpool.Liverpool are on 80 points too.

The BPL this season is likely to end in a photo finish if Liverpool and City both win their remaining two matches.If that happens,the championship may be decided on goal difference and currently City has superior goal difference of +59 while Liverpool have +50.

Two seasons ago that was the manner City won the League.They snatched  the League from Manchester United by goal difference.Abilty to defend pretty wel well and be prolific up front shall be emphasised if City win the League this season.However, Liverpool is a high scoring side too.They have the prolific striker in Suarez who has scored 30 goals this season and will surely want to score more.The Liverpool talisman will be supported by Sturrigde, Gerrald and Sterling who are all on top scorers list this season.The players know what is at stake and they must fire on all cylinders starting from when they meet Crystal Palace on Monday,May 5.

ABDUCTED GIRLS : NIGERIA HAS FAILED OUR CHILDREN

The angst over the abducted girls in Chibok,Borno state in North East of Nigeria will not abate either now or soon.Nearly three weeks after their abduction by Boko-Haram,about 200 of these young school girls are yet to be released.The figure would have been more than that if not for the bravery of some of the girls who escaped from their captors.

Now the clamour for the release of the girls has gone viral on the net.On twtiter there is now hashtag bringbackourgirls.On the streets of major cities in Nigeria,women groups and concerned citizens have embarked on protests for government to take drastic action to rescued the girls.There is so much agony in the voices of parents of the girls.

The unfortunate thing about this national problem is about government helplessness.The security of everyone now is by everyone.This government must do something now.We cannot wait a day longer.

Painfully, unconfirmed reports says the girls have been married off to the blood thirsty group.The girls must have been taken beyond our borders into neighbouring Chad,Sudan,Niger etc.

In a sane society,heads would have rolled.In Nigeria,people don't resign even if they have failed woefully.The military should be given a time frame for delivery of the abducted girls to their parents.

CHELSEA LOST TO ATHLETICO MADRID ON WRONG TACTICS

Yesterday Chelsea lost to Atletico Madrid of Spain 1-3. Surprisingly,Atletico Did not score a goal at home against Chelsea FC of England.After the first leg barren draw of last Tuesday,Mourinho praised his tactics and had no kind words for those opposed to his game plan.

The defensive tactics of Chelsea Manager worked against  PSG of France in the quarter finals.It worked in domestic league against Manchester City and Liverpool.It has been working in crucial games against big teams.

Everything went wrong  yesterday. The defence was tight but attention was not placed on the need to score.The challenge for Chelsea was inability to score plenty of goals consistently ; defence was not coordinated with Chelsea's defenders ball watching.

Another undoing of Chelsea was underrating the cut edge scoring potential of Atletico Madrid.The club is league leader in La Liga not by chance but by sheer hard work.The club managed by Argentine,Diego Simeone,has had an impressive season.It is no mean fit given the quality of players of Barcelona and Real Madrid.

So with goal aggregate of 1-3,Athletico play another Madrid club,Real in the in final of UEFA Champions League 2013 in Lisbon,Portugal later this month.The final is a match to watch. The two teams have scored at least. 3 goals away to defeat the home teams.Real beat Bayern Munich,the defending champion away 0-4 after winning 1-0 at home.One thing is clear,Real has psychological advantage over Athletico having beaten them recently,but to underrate the work rate and efficiency of Atletico, is to do the Chelsea mistake

Queen Elizabeth of England, is 88 years old today.Congratulations as the Queen joins the elite club of 88.To be 70 is a blessing and to be 80 is a special privilege.Clocking 88 is divine privilege mixed with grace.

And to see Her royal majesty age gracefully is a rare gift.The beauty and carriage of Majesty is uncommon. Wishing you more happy Birthdays ahead for continuous service to mankind.

JAMB EXAM BLUES

The last UTME examination organized by JAMB was nothing but shoddy in most of the centres across the Nigeria on Saturday April 12,2014.The worst affected were the centres outside Lagos.Most of the students were disappointed that JAMB,The Joint Admission And Mattriculation Board failed to provide writing material as promised.Students had to scamper to purchase these materials.

In the exam docket given to all students JAMB had promised that it would provide, Pencil, Calculator,Ruler etc for the students writing their tertiary examinations.The instructions was clear that no candidate should bring into the examination centres any material whatsover.The anxiety of the candidate could better be imagined when the supervisors told them that they had to procure these materials.This is indded a country where every person in authority treats every other person with disdain.This is an unwholesome attitude and those in authority must do something about it.

I will not be surprised when some of candidates in  the affected centres record average performance.This is no doubt that we do toil unwittingly with destiny of our children.JAMB had built in the cost of all materials for written examination and yet fail to provide them.On the strength of money collected for the exam,contracts must have been awarded.So, who is gaining from all these inefficiency?Is it JAMB or the contractors? The students deserve a refund.

GETTING YOUR LIFE BACK AGAIN

There are critical moments in our lives that we feel like losing all hope.The period are accompanied by pains and regrets.The losses may be monetary or emotional but surely our souls have been designed to overcome.In most cases of losses, many are bogged down there till it degenerates to another sickness because they fail to see through the present circumstances.

I have the following tips that can help us during this period when our hearts boils and our soul is in unimaginable pains.

We need a spiritual guidance or someone we trust feels our pains as well.It may sound religious but we truly need this.There are calamities that the effect on us are just too much to handle.We need someone to handle us with care and hope.If we have someone we trust that much around us that we can talk or pray to at that time, a fragment of the pain will be taken away.The more we continue to feel safe in the hand of this person,the less our pains will become.

There is need for us to remain calm during the period of our pain.This may be difficult,but we should try.It is a period we need to say so many tthings at times to express our inner feelings especially our hurt but if we must apply restraint,we are capable of reducing the damages we might do to our psyche and that of others who might be affected by what we do or say.

We should set time period for our mourning.I cannot say we should avoid mourning because,tears or wailing do free our mind of the heavy burden we have.When we mourn for too long it might affect us psychologically.we should know that no amount of tears can bring back our lossess.But we can bring back ourselves from the brink into position that we can start life all over again.

During  our moments of pain,we should make sure that people that will remind us of our losses in negative manner are not around us.There are people who will say things deliberately to worsen your situation.Please, you don't need them.Tell people that are carrying your burden with you to show them the door.The is not the period to see them And for those who are directly responsible to what has happend,you have to forgive them with time.Forgivenes on its own frees us from burden.

There are brigher side of life.It is good for us to see this even in our pains.We all have inner strength if only we csan draw from it.There is better tomorrow and the sun will shine again.

Finally, since it could be difficult coping with  losses,that has become part of us, we should gradually make attempts to get busy doing little things and keeping it at that level untill we are very strong again to take the world by storm. It may be tough but I believe you are tougher that you think.

GOOD DEEDS

There is nothing bad to do good to as many people as you see them on your paths in life.All the good books approves of this.There are so many people I have met in life that I did offered little assistance I had the capacity to do.I have met people too who have rendered one help or the other to me as well.The beauty of doing good deed is that it does pay in the long run and the quatum may be even bigger than you expected when the reward comes.

There are many ways we can be of assistance to those around us.We can offer financial assistance to those in dire need.We can offer prayers to people who are passing through challenges that have weighed them down.We can offer to do services to people who need us by personally giving ourselves.I have seen a situation where ordinary phone call or text message have lifted spirits of some who are  lonely or bored. Remebering to say thank you even for liitle help received goes beyond manners, it is a good act that surely will encourage the helper.

In life the challenge is that so many people do not know how to show gratitude for little mercies received.There so many people with lack of appreciation and yet they complain of not recieving help.Do you know that there are people who are in need of help that have set high standards for those available to help them? Yeah there are so many of them in our society today.There are countless others that will impugn your pesonalty for helping them.There are those who will complain that you did not finish your good work by not going with them all the way.Yes, one can do this if there are no constraints from your side but there are pople who are insatiable.There are pople who you would help that will feel you are doing it for ulterior motives.

On many occsions I have parked my car by bustop to see if I can help one two people stranded at bus stop, but there are ladies who will not take the offer believing you are looking for a lover or mistress.This happens even when rains were falling cat and dog.Some will even hiss if your car does not meet their expectations. some would say. "I beg ride on.Look at  his small car." On how I will feel? I just ride on.If your intentions are genuine, you should not be bogged down for insults received from trying to help.Imagine someone who gives people financial assisatnce all the time and he came to a point he himself does not have much; the pople he used to assit will say all manner of things.They might say it is finished for him or that he has changed for the bad.

The true attribute of someone who help from the heart is that he or she will not expect a reward from those in need.We should not be discouraged by actions of ingrates.They will always be around.Paying those who have given you hope in bad manner has its own consequences.It pays to be good as well.I have also discovered that it is necessary apply wisdom to the form of assistance,There are those you are helping but have so much relied on the help all the time and will go on to become useless in life.If yopu have a relation who has the abaility to generate income yet chose to live on you,day to day assistance will render him useless.

One of my cardinal rule of living is that whatever we posses is given to us in trust for us and others so that the world be a beautiful place to stay.Sincerely,I have received countless bashing trying to help,but it is an act that gives me joy.However I have to analyses the situations critically before taking steps in that direction now.
